Jared Leto Shows Off His Skirt
Halle Berry, who we last saw tooling around SoCal on the back of boyfriend Olivier Martinez‘s motorcycle, decided to ditch her man so that she could take her only begotten daughter Nahla Ariela to the Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch in Beverly Hills, CA for an afternoon of pumpkin picking fun yesterday afternoon … behold:
Awww … so cute. I gotta say, I much prefer photos of Halle with Nahla over photos of Halle with almost anyone else. Little Miss Nahla is just too cute for words. It really looks like mother and daughter had a grand time together :D

Chilean Miner Rescue Reactions, 'Red' And 'Medal Of Honor' In Today's Twitter-Wood
Adrien Brody seems to have an uncanny knack for getting knocked unconscious and waking up in dangerous, heavily wooded areas... at least in his movies. In this summer's "Predators," he came to while plummeting through the air en route to a rendezvous with a jungle crawling with dread-locked aliens. And in the new trailer for "Wrecked," debuting EXCLUSIVELY on MTV, the Oscar winner awakes in a car at the bottom of a ravine with the wilderness and a bunch of dead people surrounding him.
The kicker: He's got no memory of who he is or how he got there, and -- wouldn't you know it? -- his leg is all kinds of broken. Things only get better (oh, right, worse) from there, as a radio newsflash helps Brody's character figure out that his name is Raymond... and he's being hunted by authorities in connection with a bank heist gone deadly wrong.
As Raymond tries to puzzle out exactly who he is and what he's done, he struggles to survive hunger (by noshing on some ants and raw fish), attack by mountain lion, sniper fire from an unidentified party, and it seems the loss of his own mind. It's kind of like "Memento" told chronologically, with some delusions thrown in for good measure.
It's not exactly clear what is real and what is a product of Raymond's imagination -- but that's completely refreshing, not to mention tantalizing. After all, the purpose of a trailer is to make the viewer want to see the movie, not to divulge the entire plot. By that criteria, this puppy is a winner.
What do you think of the "Wrecked" trailer? Let us know in the comments and on Twitter!

Snooki Wants Smoosh Smoosh To Thank South Park

Warner Bros is currently working on bringing the Harry Potter series to 3D blu-ray, starting with Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
They've begun work on the Half-Blood Prince conversion to 3D, and we're glad to hear that they intend on doing it right, instead of rushing through the process, like they did with the infamous 3-Disaster Clash of the Titans.
No word yet on specific time frames for when these 3D conversions will be released, especially for earlier Harry Potter titles, but we're glad to hear they're on their way.
Should be inneresting to see if they decide to re-release the 3D Harry Potter films in theaters, like what Fox is doing with the Star Wars series.
Are U excited for 3D Harry Potter to make its way into your home?

Victoria Beckham Does ‘Maire Claire’ Magazine
On Saturday we seared our eyeballs got to see a new photo of Courtney Love that she posted on her official Twitter profile for all the world to see … today, we learn that Courtney has decided to quit Twitter (again) because of that photo. Apparently, C. Love intended for that heinous photo to only be seen by her “boy friend” … but since she somehow accidentally posted it on her very public Twitter profile, she has decided to quit Twitter altogether. Here is a reminder of the photo in question:
And here is Courtney‘s supposedly final tweet:
I will point out, tho, that the offending photo has NOT been taken down and is still linked on her Twitter profile. I can’t even remember how many times previously Courtney has “quit” social media … but my guess is that we will very likely be hearing from her again sooner, rather than later. I just pray … no more near coochie shots, PLEASE!

Celebs Come Out For The Launch Of A New Collection Of Swatch Watches
Brad Pitt along with his twin children Knox Léon and Vivienne Marcheline made their grand arrival in Hungary today to meet up with pseudo-wife and mother Angelina Jolie who is there directing her first film. Here is a cute pic of Daddy Braddy and the twins at at the VIP terminal at the Ferihegy International Airport in Budapest:
The world’s most famous globe trotting family are back together again. Brad Pitt was spotted Thursday arriving at the VIP terminal at the Ferihegy International Airport in Budapest carrying two-year old twins Vivienne and Knox. Angelina Jolie, 35, has already been getting settled in Hungary where she’s working on her yet untitled directorial debut. Filming began a week ago, with Jolie shooting in a Budapest orphanage. The couple’s school age kids are currently enrolled in a French-American school there. Pitt, 46, dressed for the cold weather in a wool cap and shades, had been shooting Moneyball in Boston. The clan, who are expected to spend the next few months in Europe, are residing in a mansion outside Budapest and will spend time in Bosnia where Jolie’s film will also shoot.
Lord, this family really gets around. It wasn’t that long ago that they had settled in France first for the birth of the twins and then for the duration of the filming production of Ange‘s film The Tourist. Now that she’ll be in Budapest for a while directing her first film, it’s time for a new home for the Brangelina Bunch. I don’t know how they manage to do everything all the time but … they seem to do it well. I guess our sights will be set on Hungary in the coming weeks and months for Brangelina news.

‘The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills’ Premieres In Beverly Hills
Back in May we learned that actress-turned-pop star Hilary Duff would be releasing her debut novel this Fall … and, at long last, the time is at hand. Hilary‘s book Elixir, which she co-authored with Elise Allen, is available in stores now and last night she made an in-person appearance at a Border’s in NYC to meet her fans and sign a few books. MTV got their hands on a review copy of Elixir and offer their thoughts on what the book has in store:
Co-authored by Elise Allen, “Elixir” is a supernatural tale about destiny and soulmates. Think of it as “The Time Traveler’s Wife” starring a much-more-grounded version of Serena van der Woodsen. Perhaps drawing from her own experience in the limelight, Hilary’s protagonist is 17-year-old Clea Raymond, a reluctant tabloid staple thanks to her parents’ high-profile careers (mom is a politician, dad is a renowned surgeon). From a young age, Clea’s dad nurtures her interest in photography, and by her teens, Clea is fielding dream photojournalism assignments under the pseudonym Alissa Grande (no one wants to hire a celebutante only interested in vanity projects, after all).
HMMM. You can read the rest of the MTV review of Elixir HERE. IMHO, Hil D‘s book is prolly just as good as Nicole Richie‘s new book Priceless and DEFFO better than the new book “written” by Mike The Situation Sorrentino. Whether or not this book sounds interesting to you, I’m sure it’ll be of some interest to Hilary‘s young fans … and anything that gets kids to read books is A-OK with me :D

In movie news, if [...]
In advance of the world premiere of his new slasher flick "Savage County" on MTV2 this Thursday, October 7, at 11 p.m. (10 p.m. Central), director David Harris has been guest-blogging on MTV News to share some thoughts on making the film. He talked about marketing the movie in yesterday's post, and today he offers up some horror-movie-making tips. Come back tomorrow for his third and final blog.
I want to make another movie for all kinds of reasons: It's my dream to be a director... Maybe I'll make money at it someday... I want to have one of those chairs with my name on the back... But, more than anything, I want to make another movie because I learned so much the first time around that it seems like a waste not to use that knowledge.
Making movies is now what having a band used to be. A lot of people do it, and with digital cameras everywhere, it's an accessible way to express yourself. Everybody from Hitchcock to Tarantino has excellent advice on the creative process that's only a Google search away. There's nothing I can impart about the art of filmmaking that comes close to them, BUT I'm pretty sure I have some practical advice on making your first horror movie that they couldn't give you.
Here are my top five tips:
1. Pack a Flashlight
Scouting locations for a horror movie is very much like being in a horror movie. Everyone who knows of a scary, horrible place will suggest you visit -- whether it fits your movie or not. Scouting "Savage County," we found ourselves knee-deep in water in an abandoned basement autopsy room/morgue/body incinerator. Did we bring a flashlight? Nope. We used the flash on a digital camera to light up the room every couple of feet. It was straight out of "Quarantine." Flashlights are cheap; we were dumb.
2. Buy Waders
These are knee-high thick rubber boots -- you can buy heavy-duty hunting versions at Walmart. I never saw leeches before scouting Savage County. Besides, this will come in handy when you turn over a board and reveal the guy pictured to the right.
3. More Blood! More Dirt!
Your cast arrives in the morning. They're good-looking, fresh-faced, ready to work... You put a little blood on them and they look terrible, but not horror-movie terrible. The actors may look at you pleadingly ("Please, don't put any more sticky crap on me!"). Ignore them.
4. Sweat the Small Stuff
We had plenty of days when someone could have gotten killed if something big went wrong. But the one day that actually went to hell (our first day -- yay!) there were about a dozen small things going wrong. Questions to ask: Was the sound guy in the bathroom when the van left for set? Did the grips bring the keys to their truck? Does the production assistant really know how to drive a van? If not, you might find yourself without a sound guy, or lights, with a van in a pond blocking your access to set. Run through checklists like you've got OCD... or hire someone with actual OCD.
5. Shoot Where They're Excited to Have You
I think it's still statistically most likely that if you're reading this, you don't live in a "production hub." I live in L.A. now, and there are a ton of advantages to making movies here, but one big disadvantage is that if you're just starting out, the world isn't lining up to help you out. When we decided to shoot "Savage County" in Memphis, I didn't know how lucky we'd be. The town isn't a stranger to production ("Hustle & Flow," "The Client" and "Walk the Line" were filmed there), but there are enough creative, talented people there who aren't often asked to contribute to a film... but when they are asked, they're excited to help (guys like the REAL Crittenden County Fire Department, who made the shirts pictured for the movie so they'd be authentic). Wherever that excitement comes from, wherever you can find that support -- that's where you should make your movie. It's easy to take that support for granted, but it could be the thing that makes your first film possible.
Will you tune in for the "Savage County" world premiere on Thursday?

Morgan Freeman has wanted to bring an adaptation of Arthur C. Clarke's classic 1972 sci-fi novel "Rendezvous With Rama" to the big screen for the better part of a decade-and-a-half. But despite having David Fincher attached to direct back in 2007, the project -- which tells of a group of human explorers trying to unlock the mysteries of an alien vessel that enters the Earth's atmosphere -- has never taken off.
When MTV News chatted with Freeman at the junket for the action-comedy "Red," we asked the acting legend whether the spaceship has sailed on this particular "Rendezvous." He responded by uttering the word "no" about 37 times in a row. Care to elaborate, Mr. Freeman?
"We're still pushing for 'Rendezvous With Rama,'" he said. "That's a got-to-be-done movie. Just have to figure out how to do it. I've been trying for -- I don't know -- 15 years now to get a script. You would think it was easier than it is. It's not; it's really hard."
Freeman's not the only one still looking to adapt the book into a feature film. "Fincher is still part of the conversation," he assured us. "It's a hard nut to crack, but once it's cracked it could become something."
Freeman envisions that "something" as an "Avatar"-esque 3-D epic. "Now that we've got James Cameron who's done 'Avatar,' we know exactly what genre it has to be," he said. "It has to be done in 3-D. Absolutely has to be done in 3-D."
Are you hoping "Rendezvous With Rama" has a 3-D rendezvous with the silver screen sometime soon? Tell us in the comments!

There was something really ODD about Anderson Cooper, of all people, interviewing Eminem. And it was kinda disheartening that Anderson blahly accepted the rapper's non-answers with regards to his homophobic lyrics.
There wasn't much new ground covered and the only enlightening part of their chat was when Eminem admitted to spending all day long often obsessing about words and rhyming.

First there was the kissin’, then there was the hand-holdin’ … all in Paris, France — the city of lights and love. Today we learn that new lovebirds Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez have imported their lurve from France to put on display here in SoCal. Halle and Olivier showed up here in LA this week lookin’ in love as ever at a photographic art exhibit in West Hollywood, CA:
Their relationship is still in its infancy but Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez are fast becoming inseparable. The loved up pair headed out last night to a photography exhibition at the Marcelita Gallery in West Hollywood. Arriving together, in a classic car driven by Olivier, the pair were affectionate and romantic, holding hands and gazing into each other’s eyes as they browsed the selection and chatted with other patrons. Earlier in the day the couple headed out for a spot of lunch in Los Angeles and Halle appeared very smitten with her new beau. Wearing a white tank with a huge thumbprint on the front, Halle stayed close to the french actor as they walked from the car. They spent time in an office building in Beverly Hills before grabbing some lunch and heading back to Halle’s house in West Hollywood. Martinez flew from France, his home country, to Los Angleles at the beginning of the week to spend time with his new lady.
HMMM … I guess what I initially thought was just a fun, work-fling has grown into something more. It’s one thing to carry on while on location for work … but when you bring your fling back home with you — that’s some seriousness, y’all. Still … I’m not 100% convinced that this relationship will stand the test of time. If we ever get to see photos of Olivier with Halle‘s daughter Nahla Ariela, well, then we can be sure things are on like Donkey Kong. Time will tell … but, thus far, these two are keepin’ the fling very alive.
