Last night David and I made our way to downtown LA to see Cyndi Lauper live in concert and we were SO excited … until we got to the venue and realized that Cyndi is touring in support of her blues album. Now, I gotta admit … I am not a blues music fan — at all — but for Cyndi, we decided to just go with the flow and have as good a time as we could. Thankfully, Cyndi keeps ALL of her fans in mind when she performs in concert so we were very happy to hear many of our fave Cyndi songs performed live.

Unfortch, Cyndi‘s blonde hair reflective of the house lights so in the photos, it looks like she was glowing ;) While Cyndi did perform blues songs from her new album, she intersperced her big hits in between songs … so every other song was one of her classic hits. I was not expecting to here The Goonies R Good Enough song so that was a nice surprise. The encore of Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, Time After Time and True Colors was worth the price of admission alone. We had a blast, Cyndi was fabulous.

Tonight, David is hosting a little soriée at our place for a few friends. It should be fun ;) Hope you have a Happy Saturday!!
