Aaron Eckhart has signed on to play dasterdly Hook in Pan, the newly reimagined flick of J.M. Barrie's timeless story, Peter Pan. This movie is said to be much darker than previous adaptations of the story and it will be taking a more modern approach to the tale. In fact, Captain Hook isn't even a pirate!
In this version, Aaron's plays a former detective who is chasing a "notorious and childlike kidnapper" (TWIST!), who gets help from a girl named Wendy (Soul Surfer star AnnaSophia Robb), who is the only child to escape capture.
So Peter is the fiend and Hook is the hero? Inneresting!
See Hollywood! You can still make all the remakes you want - just add a little more originality to it.
